Stories of Hope: Kwagala’s Journey

 

Growing up without knowing her father or extended family, Kwagala carried unanswered questions about her identity.

Through the support of Hope & Care, she completed high school and grew into a resilient, confident young woman.

Her journey took an extraordinary turn when an old hospital document revealed her father’s name, opening a path to discovering her roots. Kwagala was connected to her paternal family and welcomed by her grandparents for the very first time.

Although she learned that her father had passed away, she found a renewed sense of belonging and a connection to the family she had never known.

Today, Kwagala is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education at Victoria University, confidently preparing to shape the lives of the next generation.
