Hope church is the mother of Hope and care ministries. We are on a mission to take Jesus Christ to the grass roots.
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!
John Akiza gave his life to Christ in the year 1990 and launched into ministry in the year 1993. He is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Hope City Church that has its home in Kalonga, Mubende-Uganda. he is also the founder of HOCAM.
He grew up as a Shamba boy in a muslim family in Kakubo, an impoverished village in central Uganda. This was the situation in many other parts of the country, people lived with no hope, with disease and the fear of death.
Obeying the great commission, He travels around deep in Villages of Uganda spreading the good news gospel of Jesus Christ. Thousands have been impacted by the gospel and over 40 churches have been planted in different Districts of Uganda.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matt 28:19-20
All that we do is an expression of our love and commitment to Jesus Christ. We strongly believe in making disciples everywhere we go through the preaching of the gospel and planting churches.
Over the years, our ministration has spread out to include over 40 churches planted and overseen by the organization in various districts of Uganda. We train church leaders and disciple new believers.
We believe that in every situation, the gospel is meant to be preached and demonstrated both practically and supernaturally.
