Care Christmas Box
At Hope and Care, we touch lives of the needy and the poor through the Gospel. We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ compels us to meet the needs of the poor. Since 2011, Hope and Care embarked on a journey to demonstrate the Love of God in word and deed through Love, Care, sharing and meeting the needs of the poor.
Join us this Christmas to provide a decent meal, treat, and dress the fatherless, widows and the elderly to extend Godly love to bring about Hope.
Help the needy people of Mubende our Home district which is currently under lock down because of the Ebola outbreak, and the people of Wakiso district which is the most populated district in Uganda with about 3,000,000 million people of which over 60,000 orphans, 21000 widows over the age of 50 and 26000 single mothers, these are usually unemployed, and can hardly access medical services and cannot afford two meals a day.
The ministry of Health declared an outbreak of Ebola virus disease in our home district “Mubende” on 20th September and measures were put in place immediately to prevent the spread of the virus. This followed a lockdown that was declared on 15th October and this has caused economic slow down and hunger. The two years of COVID19 lockdown left many families mainly headed by Children, single mothers and widows in a dire situation, these families had just started moving and not resilient or self-reliant and are placed under a third lockdown due to an EBOLA outbreak.
These Families need our help urgently.
Unlike the past years were we distributed food items a few days to Christmas, we are going to deliver this live saving assistance to the people of “Mubende” starting now through Christmas whereas the families in “Wakiso” will receive their Care Christmas Boxes a few days to Christmas.
This can only be made possible with your support!
