Story 1 – From Orphaned to Embraced
When Sarah lost both her parents at the age of six, her future looked uncertain. She struggled with hunger, lacked access to education, and carried deep emotional pain. Through the H&C Children’s Centre, Sarah received food, shelter, and the opportunity to go to school. Today, she is thriving academically and dreams of becoming a teacher so she can pass on the gift of hope she received.

Story 2 – A Widow’s Story of Resilience
Mary, a mother of four, lost her husband unexpectedly and struggled to feed her children. Through the Healing Wings feeding program, her family received daily meals, counseling, and support. With a small grant from Hope Innovators, she started a tailoring business that now provides for her family and pays school fees for her children.

Story 3 – Youth Equipped for the Future
At 17, Joseph was on the edge of dropping out of school. With limited opportunities in his village, he was vulnerable to exploitation. Through Hope Innovators, he joined business skills training and learned sustainable farming techniques at Kalonga Care Farm. Joseph now earns income from poultry farming and is mentoring younger boys in his community.

Story 4 – A Community Revived
When floods devastated a community in Mubende, families were displaced and livelihoods destroyed. Healing Wings stepped in with food relief, temporary shelter, and counseling. Today, many of those families are rebuilding their homes, and some have joined local churches planted through HOCAM. What began as a crisis became a testimony of resilience, faith, and unity.
