Our Story

1993 – Mpigi: Pastor John responds to God’s call, planting a church that becomes a catalyst for hope and transformation.

1994 – School Launch: A small school begins in church spaces to meet children’s educational needs.

2001 – Kalonga–Mubende: Pastor John relocates to serve communities with greater needs, preaching the Gospel and planting churches.

2011 – Birth of HOCAM: Formed in response to deep challenges faced by orphans, vulnerable children, and widows.

2015 – Official Establishment: Rooted in Kingdom values, HOCAM is formally established to bring hope to the poor, empower families, and equip people to walk in their God-given purpose.
Impact in focus: Orphans have found care and a safe place to grow; widows have received support in distress; and youth are gaining life skills to overcome poverty and thrive.

We pursue transformation through four integrated steps:
