H&C CHILDREN'S CENTER
Children are a divine gift and a source of joy, strength, and legacy.
For over a decade, we have been serving the children in Kalonga, addressing the challenges they face by nurturing their spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being. Grounded in our Christian foundation, we teach sound Christian values, discipling children to become responsible and productive individuals, while guiding them toward eternal life in Christ.
Our commitment is to help renew young minds, guiding them toward a brighter future filled with opportunity, hope, and positivity. Our approach ensures that every child receives the care and attention they need to flourish through three key pillars: Child Care, Education, and Sponsorship.
Child Care
We provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to live, grow, and flourish. This includes meals, shelter, clothing, healthcare and emotional support to ensure their physical and psychological well-being.
Education
In addition to care, our children receive quality education designed to equip them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. From basic literacy & numeracy to life skills, we offer a national curriculum that fosters curiosity and growth.
Child Sponsorship
Through our Child Sponsorship program, donors can directly support a child’s education and care. Sponsorship funds help cover the cost of school supplies, educational materials, and other essential needs.
Candidate Class Scholarship Scheme
Helping students prepare for critical exams, this program covers exam registration fees, tuition, and essential school-related expenses, reducing financial obstacles.

Education Beyond the Classroom
At H&C Children’s Center, we believe in giving children opportunities to explore and learn beyond the four walls of a classroom. In Kalonga, where children often learn about the world without experiencing it firsthand, our Education Beyond the Classroom program bridges that gap. Through this ongoing initiative, children engage in educational tours and activities that bring their lessons to life, broaden their horizons, and inspire them to dream big. As part of this program, the children recently visited the Uganda Wildlife Education Center in Entebbe, where they experienced wildlife up close and learned about the importance of conservation. Their day concluded with an exciting adventure at Wonder World, leaving them with memories they will treasure forever. This program continues to provide enriching opportunities, empowering the children of Kalonga to see and understand the world in new and exciting ways.
On average, you will receive between 3 to 4 letters from your child every year. As you read their letters, see them grow, and watch them succeed, you will realize how great your impact can be.
