HOPE AND CARE PRIMARY SCHOOL

Hope and care school is a primary level institution situated in Kalonga village, Mubende in Uganda. It was founded by our very own President, Pastor John in 2010.

The school started out with children studying under trees with but now with the help of donors, permanent structures of 8 classrooms have been erected. Installment of water tanks and solar power systems have been achieved. However there is still so much to do as the school now accommodates up to 500 children.

Kalonga is a rural sub county  located in the heart of Uganda, 120KM West of Kampala. Residents are farmers who earn less than $1.50 per day. They are simply trying to survive the day, with no hope for the future. Children wander the streets, with no opportunity to attend school, thus repeating the cycle of poverty.

The child sponsorship program focuses on educating the less privileged children in order to give them a chance at a better life in the future.

The child sponsorship package comprises of providing students with tuition and the necessary scholastic material. In addition to this, we also provide the children with other basic needs like clothing, food and medicine.

For $15 per month you can sponsor a child at primary level. This covers their tuition, feeding, school uniform, scholastic materials among other needs.

GIVE A CHILD HOPE

SEND A CHILD TO HIGH SCHOOL

For $55 per month, you can provide tuition fees, school uniforms, school supplies, and a daily meal for a student at secondary level.

At Hope and Care ministries, we believe that giving children an opportunity to got to school will bring them hope and greatly impact their lives.

Unfortunately, most students are unable to continue with their studies and drop out in primary seven (P.7), seventh grade equivalent due to reasons which majorly include lack of tuition, scholastic materials and the far distances most students have to travel to and from school, serving to keep communities in a perpetual cycle of illiteracy.

These reasons are what led to the birth of the secondary sponsorship program. In addition, Hope and care partners with a number of secondary schools in which students under the sponsorship program are taken to further their studies.

Our sponsorship program focuses on giving disadvantaged and vulnerable children an opportunity at education by providing the necessary scholastic materials and tuition. Currently, 35 students are actively benefiting from this program.

ADULT EDUCATION

"The purpose of adult education is to help them to learn, not to teach them all you know and thus stop them from learning" - Carl Rogers.
